“A Story Just for You” Birthday Party
Choose from well-loved themes: Pirates, Princesses, Monsters, or Magic. Or request a theme. Janice writes a personalized story that includes the birthday boy or girl in the adventure. Following the story, party participants dramatize the story using simple puppets and props. The event may be videotaped in order to publish a book or DVD of the party.
Family Reunions, Weddings, and Celebrations
Choose a theme for your celebration. Janice will find the right stories to fit the mood. Then use Janice’s stories to trigger personal stories told by your guests. Janice leads group games that provide an opportunity for guests to tell stories in a no-risk environment. When the group is warmed up and ready, let your family members shine as they tell their stories in an “open-mike” session. The event may be videotaped in order to publish a book or DVD of the celebration. This memento has long lasting significance.
Festivals
Janice works with festival coordinators to find the perfect story to suit the program and festival needs. Janice can provide a range of performances suitable for children or adults. She has experience with “make and take” workshops that provide personally made mementos of the festival and its theme.
